Start with the questions clients ask most often about our immigration practice, how we work, and what to expect.
Practice and Case Questions
Our practice is dedicated exclusively to immigration law. Mann Law Group helps individuals, families, employers, and organizations with immigration matters across Michigan, the United States, and abroad.
We handle a wide range of immigration matters, including family immigration, green cards, naturalization, employment immigration, asylum, deportation and removal defense, waivers, appeals, federal court litigation, mandamus actions, student and visitor visas, religious worker visas, and business or investor immigration. Our work includes both affirmative filings with the government and defensive representation in immigration court.
No. We represent clients from all over the world. Immigration law affects people from every background, and our firm is built to serve individuals, families, and businesses with many different nationalities, languages, and circumstances.
Our team includes speakers of English, Spanish, Romanian, Hungarian, Italian, French, Arabic, and Serbo-Croatian. Some team members also list limited Spanish or limited French.
Some of our most meaningful successes involve helping families stay together, helping people obtain lawful permanent residence or citizenship after long and difficult journeys, defending clients in removal proceedings, and resolving delayed or complex cases through appeals or federal court action. Every case is different, and past results do not guarantee future outcomes, but the most memorable cases are often those where the result changes the course of a client's life.
Immigration cases often involve changing laws, long government delays, incomplete records, urgent deadlines, and high emotional stakes. We address these challenges through careful preparation, clear communication, detailed evidence gathering, and strategic use of appeals, motions, waivers, or federal court remedies when appropriate.
We help clients understand what to expect, organize documents, review forms and prior immigration history, prepare for interviews or hearings, and identify potential issues before they become problems. Our goal is for clients to walk into government interactions prepared, truthful, and confident.
Yes. We handle immigration appeals, motions to reopen or reconsider, Board of Immigration Appeals matters, petitions for review, and certain federal court cases. If a case does not have the desired outcome, we review the decision carefully and explain what options may be available.
Fees and Costs
We generally use flat fees for many immigration matters, so clients know the legal fee upfront before moving forward.
Yes. We offer payment plans in appropriate cases so clients can manage the cost of representation over time.
Clients may need to pay government filing fees, biometrics fees, translation costs, document costs, postage or courier fees, and other case-related expenses depending on the type of matter.
Preparation and Process
We monitor changes in immigration law, agency policy, court decisions, government procedures, and professional immigration law updates. Because our practice is focused exclusively on immigration, staying current is part of our daily work.
We explain the process in plain language, give clients a clear roadmap, help organize the required documents, prepare them for major steps, and keep them informed as the case moves forward. Immigration cases can be stressful, but clients should not have to navigate them alone.
Clients can help by being honest and complete about their history, providing documents as early as possible, responding promptly to requests, keeping copies of immigration records, updating us about address or life changes, and avoiding travel or filings without legal advice. Careful preparation and open communication can make a major difference.
